I’m Vanessa — Vany — a maternity photographer based in Mayenne. My love for imagery dates back to childhood and, with the arrival of my daughter, became my profession: capturing the tenderness, strength and emotion of pregnancy is what inspires me every day. My approach is gentle and artistic. I favour authentic, luminous images — using natural light outdoors and a carefully curated, intimate bohemian style in my home studio in Ernée. I aim to create a reassuring environment where the expectant mother feels beautiful and supported, whether you come alone, as a couple or with your children. How I work: before the session I send a practical guide to help you prepare (outfits, hair, timing). I provide a selection of maternity gowns dedicated to pregnancy photography, available to borrow at the studio to flatter your shape. Sessions are unhurried: most maternity shoots last between one hour and one hour thirty to alternate poses, moments of connection and candid shots. I guide you step by step with natural posing and a calming dialogue so even shy clients feel comfortable in front of the camera. For creative and original keepsakes I gladly offer options such as milk baths, floral arrangements, or belly painting arranged in collaboration with a certified esthetician when desired. After the session, I gently retouch the images we select together to preserve the authenticity of faces while enhancing light and color. For a typical 1–1.5 hour session you’ll usually receive between 7 and 15 final, retouched images ready to share or print. Based in Mayenne, I also travel to Sarthe and nearby areas. If you wish, I can accompany your project beyond pregnancy by combining a maternity session with a newborn or family session to tell the next chapter of your story.
